Clearstream Reports Strong Growth in June 2026 Monthly Figures
Clearstream has released its monthly business metrics for June 2026, demonstrating significant expansion across multiple service divisions.
International Business Performance
The international central securities depository (ICSD) segment showed robust growth, with securities deposits reaching EUR 10.337 billion in June 2026, up 12% compared to EUR 9.198 billion in June 2025. Transaction volumes increased to 109 million from 91 million in the prior year period, reflecting an 11% increase. Year-to-date figures for 2026 show securities deposits of EUR 10.073 billion versus EUR 9.245 billion in 2025, representing 9% growth, with transaction volumes rising 16% to 645 million.
Domestic Business Expansion
The domestic central securities depository (CSD) business, which has included Luxembourg CSD figures since January 2022 alongside the German CSD, reported securities deposits of EUR 7.123 billion in June 2026, up 3% from EUR 6.896 billion year-over-year. June transactions totaled 25 million, a 39% increase from 18 million transactions in June 2025. Through the first half of 2026, domestic deposits reached EUR 7.127 billion compared to EUR 6.759 billion in the same period last year, with transaction volumes climbing 17% to 134 million.
Investment Funds Services Growth
The Investment Funds Services division achieved particularly strong results, with securities deposits climbing 27% to EUR 5.147 billion in June 2026 from EUR 4.057 billion in June 2025. Transaction volumes increased 40% to 75 million from 54 million transactions. Year-to-date deposits reached EUR 4.863 billion versus EUR 4.051 billion, marking 20% growth, while transactions rose 24% to 423 million.
Overall Custody and Financing Metrics
Total assets under custody reached EUR 22.606 billion in June 2026, representing 12% growth from EUR 20.152 billion in June 2025. Year-to-date assets under custody totaled EUR 22.063 billion compared to EUR 20.056 billion, a 10% increase. Global Securities Financing volumes outstanding climbed 36% to EUR 1.048 billion from EUR 730 million, with year-to-date volumes up 31% to EUR 969 billion from EUR 738 billion.
